Shawn played for the Chelsea Soccer Club while growing up in Chelsea and was a four year Varsity Letter winner at CHS. From the fall of 2001 - 2003, Shawn was the Head Coach of the High School's Boy's Freshman Soccer team. Subsequently Shawn began assisting the CHS Men's Varsity team for a period before work commitments took him away from coaching for a period.
