Detroit Ignition Soccer Camp: July 13th - 17th

Chelsea Soccer Club provides an opportunity for boys and girls from the Chelsea community to benefit from a comprehensive, competitive but affordable soccer program. The club is dedicated to giving young soccer players the chance to develop their skills to a higher level, learn how to be effective as part of a team and understand the importance of good sportsmanship and respect for others.

The club works collaboratively with Chelsea Schools and Chelsea Recreation soccer programs to ensure that children of every age and ability in Chelsea have the chance to play soccer. The intention is to develop a healthy attitude towards participating in team sports through positive experience that will hopefully benefit players long after they leave the Chelsea school system.

Chelsea Soccer Club is a parent and volunteer run organization that provides training for coaches and referees. Travel teams are available from U9 to U18 age groups and games are played generally once a week against other travel teams in South East Michigan of an appropriate competitive level. In addition there are typically two practice sessions per week some of which are run by professional soccer skills trainers.

Maximum travel times for away games are approximately one hour and half of the games are played in Chelsea. The Fall season consists of approximately 10 games in total during September and October and the Spring season consists of 10 games in total during April and May.

The program is demanding for both players and their families in terms of the level of commitment required but we are confident that players will grow in confidence and capability as they progress and develop healthy attitudes and habits as a result
